It’s not too often that a Mystery Disease is a welcome sight, except – and I’m sure fans of the band will agree – when it’s unleashed upon an unsuspecting MGMT audience. The title, of course, is the name of the latest jam to come forth from the MGMT camp who are gearing up to enter a new album cycle.
Though it’s yet to be confirmed, Mystery Disease is heavily rumoured to be the first warning shot fired from the band’s impending self-titled album. As they tour relentlessly around college campuses in the States, the band have been offering the odd sneak peak at new tracks. The direction and vibe of the upcoming album is at the moment being hotly debated after the disparity between the debut and sophomore offerings from the band.
Mystery Disease was premiered at Penn State recently. College students are a tech savvy bunch so the trippy, total wig out of a showcase was all caught on camera for your bootleg viewing and listening pleasure.
