Migos Cancel Australian Tour, Replacements Announced For Field Day & Origin Fields

Atlanta rappers Migos have cancelled their scheduled Australian tour, thereby pulling out of festival appearances in Perth and Sydney.

The ‘Bad And Boujee’ trio were scheduled to arrive in Australia in late December to perform at Perth’s newly rebranded Origin Fields festival, before travelling to Sydney to perform at Field Day on New Year’s Day.

Festival organisers have now confirmed that Quavo, Takeoff and Offset have cancelled their trip, however Migos are yet to explain why.

Origin Fields organisers have added Senegalese American rapper Sheck Wes to their lineup “to ease the pain” and are “working on further additions in coming weeks”.

Meanwhile, Field Day has announced that both Sheck Wes and 20-year-old Jarad Ethan Higgins (AKA Juice WRLD) will both perform in Sydney to bring in the new year. The latter was already scheduled to perform at Falls Festival and at two festival sideshows.

Migos completed their first-ever Australian tour in 2017, but it seems we’ll be waiting a little longer for their inevitable return.
