Norwegian folk-pop hero Mikhael Paskalev has announced the release of his debut album, What’s Life Without Losers, due out Friday, 7th March, with an accompanying new single and music video. Titled Jive Babe, the track is the latest from the man behind the impossibly catchy I Spy.
I Spy was the launchpad for this witty and idiosyncratic young artist, turning enough heads to not only see the 26-year-old singer-songwriter win a Best Unsigned Act award in his native Norway, but sign contracts with indie labels like Communion in the United Kingdom and Mom + Pop in the US.
“If I write something and my foot doesn’t start tapping while listening to it or while playing it…then there’s something wrong with it,” Paskalev told Music Feeds when he spoke to us for Episode #58 of Music Feeds Podcast. See the video for Jive Babe and Paskalev’s upcoming tour dates below.
