UK electronic outfit Mount Kimbie have released a somber, wintery video for latest single Home Recording, off their album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, released back in May. The aptly named single pays homage to the culture of home recording.
Much like in the 1972 Michael Caine masterpiece Sleuth, the Home Recording video sees the house become the main character. The band worked with director Anthony Dickenson for the clip, who chose to focus on unique camera angles, natural lighting, reflections and the contrast of inside vs. outside to visually recreate the aesthetics of the track itself.
Where their previous album, Crooks & Lovers, was a more instrumental venture, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth has seen Mount Kimbie including more vocals. Home Recording is a perfect example of how well it has worked and is sure to be the latest drawing card for the album.
