A new track from songstress Lana Del Rey has found its way onto the wonderful world of the Internet, with Black Beauty thought to come from the New Yorker’s second full-length effort, the follow-up to her 2012 worldwide smash Born To Die.
Black Beauty is a slow-burning, moody track from the 27-year-old that wouldn’t be out of place on her first album, although there’s a slightly more grown-up sound to it. This adds to the growing collection of new music surfacing from the singer-songwriter, with another new track, Queen Of Disaster, turning up earlier in the year, as well as her The Great Gatsby soundtrack contribution, Young & Beautiful. She also dropped a cover of Leonard Cohen‘s Chelsea Hotel #2 back in March.
Del Rey, who is now located in London, has previously stated that her sophomore effort, thought to be scheduled for release later in 2013, will be “a little more stripped down but still cinematic and dark”.
