Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane & More To Play New Regional NSW Fest ‘Next Exit’

Heads up, NSW – you’ve got a brand spanking new regional festival coming your way, and Ocean Alley, Spacey Jane and more are set to play.

The festival is called Next Exit, and will hit four different stops across regional Australia throughout May of this year – Tamworth, Gosford, Batemans Bay and Mudgee.

In addition to Ocean Alley and Spacey Jane, the likes of Dear Seattle, Merci, Mercy and CLEWS will also be playing the event.

“We spend most of our time working and relaxing near the coast so we love playing in smaller cities anywhere near the water,” Ocean Alley’s Mitch Galbraith said in a statement.

“These regional places are so much fun to tour because of the locals that are so welcoming and always up for a good old town blowout. Their support means we can keep coming back to play shows and festivals and give these awesome places the live music experience they deserve.”

Head of Touring for MJP Presents Australia, Scott Mesiti, outlined how the idea for Next Exit came about in a press statement.

“The original concept for ‘NEXT EXIT’ Festival was to help bushfire-affected towns, regenerate tourism and hire as many local suppliers as possible,” he said.

“So much has happened since then but our aim remains the same. We have designed a safe festival that can be delivered under current restrictions and will employ many people from our industry who have sat on the sidelines for too long.”
