Parklife 2012 organisers are on the verge of announcing the festival’s first lineup for this September and October, but we’ve already had a few eager bands announce their presence early, despite orgainisers trying to keep the list tight-lipped. In anticipation of the announcement, we’ve pulled together an up-to-date list of acts already confirmed, or very likely to be appearing, on each city’s outdoor stages this year.
Update: Parklife 2012 lineup has been announced!
So far we’ve heard reports that Modestep and DJ Fresh will be playing, after fans and media picked up on dates that both had posted on their Facebook and websites, which were co-ordinated with the Parklife dates.
Yesterday we heard Art Deparment, the Canadian-born techno/house duo, will be joining the others after some dates were posted on Songkick, though no official word has come through from Parklife. Songkick is an event listings site that puts together its posts via information from promoters, venues and artists.
UK’s MC Labrinth revealed themselves to Cosmopolitan magazine, saying they will be performing at this year’s event. Chairlift will also appear after Caroline Polachek revealed on Twitter back in early May that they would be out here in October for Parklife.
The leftover rumours consist of Sleigh Bells and The Ting Tings, who are both due to appear at festivals this year along with Swedish electropop artist Robyn. PNAU, Fatboy Slim, Siriusmo and Dirtyloud are also tipped to appear, and this morning with Grimes being ruled out of a Harvest appearance, we could very likely see her join in on Parklife as well.
