Parks And Rec Icons Mouse Rat FINALLY Drop ‘The Pit’ & ‘Two Birds Holding Hands’

Pawnee’s finest, Mouse Rat have finally released their iconic single ‘The Pit’. The Parks and Recreation band shared the old hit along with Andy’s special ‘Two Birds Holding Hands’.

The singles are taken from the band’s debut album. It was announced just last month that Mouse Rat would release The Awesome Album on Friday, 27th August.

The announcement came with the release of ‘5,000 Candles In The Wind (Bye Bye Li’l Sebastian)’.

‘The Pit’ comes with an animated lyric video. It features stickman versions of Andy Dwyer, beautiful Ann Perkins, and of course, the pit.

Stickman Ann Perkins and Andy Dwyer relive the pit debacle, where Andy breaks his legs and Ann nurses him back to health.

‘Two Birds Holding Hands’ isn’t blessed with the same animation. But we really would have loved to see an animated Andy Dwyer serenade April Ludgate.

Mouse Rat’s debut album The Awesome Album will drop on Friday, 27th August via Dualtone. It will be, of course, in partnership with Entertainment 720, Parks and Recs’ Tom Haverford’s media company.

The Awesome Album will feature 13 original tracks from Mouse Rat.

It’ll feature a couple of songs from Scott Tanner (Jeff Tweedy) and a couple will also feature Nick Offerman, as Duke Silver.

He’ll be dropping some smooth sax for the release.
