Peking Duk Have Collaborated With Some Big Names On Their Debut Album

Aussie electro faves Peking Duk have dropped some of the big names they’ve been working with in making their highly anticipated debut album, which they’ve previously described as ‘ball-tingling’.

The duo recently spoke to triple j, fresh home after a stretch of international touring. They said they were making great progress on the album despite their live commitments. “We have been touring a lot but whenever there’s a second to work on tunes we’ve been seizing the moment…” they said.

Among the names that the Duk boys have been collaborating with is Swedish artist Elliphant, who they worked with in the studio “for four days straight,” alongside stints with Julia Stone, Jarryd James and the eternal Daniel Johns.

“We’ve been working with lots of people and it’s really exciting,” say the band. “We feel good about the music but we’re just trying to really knuckle down at the moment. There’s a couple songs we really want to nail to put out soon.”

The boys say that their upcoming Australiana tour will feature a lot of material from the new album. “It’s gonna be dope. We’re definitely going to be playing some music that we’ve been working on that no-one’s heard before, and we’ve got a few surprises in store.”
