Punk legends Pennywise have recently issued a statement claiming that following the on-stage collapse of frontman Zoli Téglás, they will be cancelling all shows on their current tour.
Téglás, who is the new vocalist of the band, had been suffering from chronic back pain prior to the gig and eventually pushed it too far, resulting in total lights-out for the frontman. The band was currently on tour through Europe for the Full Force Festival with genre buddies The Flatliners. Though only two shows have been cancelled, the band took to Facebook to apologise for the inconvenience to fans, all of whom seem totally understanding.
Zoli was having back-pain through out the tour and at full force festival during the set he collapsed on stage a few times was taken to the emergency room where they said he needed immediate operation or risk the chance of paralysis.Needless to say we will have to cancel Hengelo and Schweinfurt and hope for a quick recovery. We are very sorry we are forced to cancel these shows but Zolis health is our main focus right now…
This puts a bit of a question mark over their up-and-coming Australian dates, so fingers crossed Zoli will be 100% after the operation. The band has also recently released their first album in over 4 years All Or Nothing
