PREMIERE: AACTA Winner Odessa Young Is Out For Vengeance In Hunch’s Twisted ‘Momentary Sound’ Video

Award winning Aussie actor Odessa Young takes the reigns on the visuals for Sydney outfit Hunch’s new doom-pop single ‘Momentary Sound’, writing, directing and starring in this twisted and dark music video turned murder mystery.

With the clip, the AACTA award winner (The Daughter, Looking For Grace) carries through the contentious power dynamics played out between Hunch’s two lead singers, Hunter Auzins and Ruben Neeson, in their previous music video for ‘God’ and ties them into Momentary Sound’s tale of violence and vengeance.

Explains Neeson: “Hunter and I have always joked about a certain rivalry. Two lead singers who clash personalty-wise and creatively but who work really well together. We thought it’d be fun to make a series of videos for the new EP that played with this.”

“The clip was originally an idea Odessa had for a short film,” he adds. “There was talk about shooting this film while she was in the country and I was kind of just hanging around and weaselled my way into the conversation and said it’d make a real good video clip. Luckily she agreed.

“The way this clip concludes has made it a bit tricky to follow on from but we’ve already started writing and can’t wait to kill each other again. Or maybe it’s time to settle our differences and team up…”

Oofft, the suspense.
