Royal Blood Stream New Single ‘Figure It Out’

Following months of overwhelming anticipation, Royal Blood have announced that they will release their self-titled debut full-length album on Tuesday, 22nd August. The UK duo have paired the good news with their latest single, Figure It Out, and an awesome album trailer, both streaming below.

The band’s first full-length record features all the hallmarks of their debut releases, including all the pummelling bass riffs and propulsive drumming that have seen the band draw comparisons to rock and roll veterans like Queens of the Stone Age and genre pioneers like Death From Above 1979.

The pair were recently in the country to make their live Australian debut and we managed to corral them into Music Feeds Studio, where bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr explained how the response to the band’s first two singles — Little Monster and Come On Over — came as a shock even to them.

“We really didn’t expect anything [out of this project],” said Mike. “I guess putting that first tune out, we felt like it just summed up who we were as a band. You can never anticipate or expect anything like what’s been going on and it’s been going quick. The band’s only been going a year-and-a-half.”

The two are now bound for a major summer touring schedule, which includes stops at some of the UK’s most prestigious festivals. Having recently wowed fans at Glastonbury, the pair will soon be supporting the Pixies and Arctic Monkeys in between dates at T in the Park and Reading Festival.
