The Smith Street Band Are Launching Their Own ‘Pool House Party’ Festival In 2018

UPDATE: The Smith Street Band Unveil ‘Pool House Party’ Festival Lineup

ORIGINAL STORY: Aussie rockers The Smith Street Band are set to host their very own music festival in 2018, with the inaugural Pool House Party to take place in Melbourne next March.

The event — which gets its name from Smith Street’s own record label, Pool House Records — will see “a huge lineup” of acts perform over two stages at the Coburg Velodrome, which looks a little something like this…

Smith Street will (of course) perform at the party, and while there won’t be an actual pool (confusing, we know), there will be rides and a bunch of food trucks. More bands are still to be announced.

Today’s announcement comes as Smith Street release the music video for ‘Passiona’, a cut from their latest album More Scared Of You Than You Are Of Me.

“We shot the video on a lovely sunny day about a week ago,” says frontman Wil Wagner.

“We meandered around the streets of Footscray before driving out to a tiny town called Korweinguboora at the base of The Wombat State Forest for a bit of bush cricket and a barbecue!”

Watch the video below, alongside all the details we have for the 2018 Pool House Party so far.
