The Smith Street Band Drop New Single + National Tour Dates

The Smith Street Band are ushering in a whole new era, sharing a new single, national tour dates and announcing a new album is on the way.

Our first taste of the Melbourne rock favourites’ seventh LP is a song called ‘This Is It’, billed as the band’s most vulnerable release to date. Recorded at their own Bush House Studios, a solar-powered studio in regional Victoria, the track tackles themes of identity, inertia, self doubt, and the uneasy feeling that even when you have everything you hoped for, it might not feel like enough.

“’This Is It’ is a song about coming to terms with who you are, what you’ve done and what you’re doing next,” band leader Wil Wagner explains.

The song also comes packing an accompanying music video, shot and edited by long time collaborator Nick Manuell, with Greg Rietwyk, which you can peep up above.

To celebrate the release, The Smith Street Band will embark on a massive tour of Australia this July, kicking off in Hobart before heading to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Scarborough.

They’ll be supported on all dates by their mates Bad Neighbour, who recently released their debut album Millions.
