Soundgarden Announce 35th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue Series

2019 marks the 35th year that we’ve had Soundgarden in our lives, and to commemorate the anniversary the band’s label – A&M Records – are reissuing all of their albums on special, limited edition coloured vinyl.

Starting next month, a different album will be released monthly on coloured vinyl. In April, it will kick off with their seminal record Superunknown. Interestingly enough, that album celebrates its 25th anniversary this weekend, and it is getting a reissue in 180-gram translucent red and gold vinyl.

The re-issue series will also include Louder Than Love, BadmotorfingerDown on the Upside and King Animal. You can buy the albums individually, or buy all of them together at a discounted price. Pre-order available here.

Of course, Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell passed away in 2017. A massive tribute concert for him was held in January this year, with performances by Metallica, Foo Fighters, Audioslave and more. Cornell also posthumously won a Grammy this year for ‘Best Rock Performance’ thanks to his solo track ‘When Bad Does Good’.
