Spit Syndicate Take Over Upstairs at The Beresford Tomorrow Night

Bursting onto the greater consciousness of Australian hip hop back in 2007, emerging from the hotbed of creativity that is Sydney’s Inner West, Spit Syndicate have proven themselves as one of Australia’s most successful and engaging new hip hop acts, with their first album Toward The Light seeing the duo of Nic Lupi and Jimmy Nice nominated for an ARIA alongside heroes such as Bliss N Eso and Hilltop Hoods.

Renowned for their high-energy live show, which saw me experience crowd surfing at Oxford Art Factory for the first time back in 2009 when they launched their new single there, the Double S along with the indomitable and larger-than-life DJ Joyride on the decks will be taking over Upstairs at The Beresford this Saturday night with support from Joyride’s own live RnB outfit, Joyride & The Accidents, as well as Jackie Onasis and F.R.I.E.N.D/s DJs.

Anyway here’s a little clip to give you an idea.
