Stream August Burns Red’s New Album ‘Rescue & Restore’ In Full

August Burns Red are back with new album Rescue & Restore and you can stream the whole thing right ahead of its release this Friday, and you’ll want to have a listen – Rescue & Restore see us dealing with a far more focused and deliberate version of the band than we’ve ever seen before.

Rescue & Restore sees ABR intentionally separating themselves from those they’ve observed attempting to cash in on a niche genre. Of the album, guitarist JB Brubaker states:

Rescue & Restore is about challenging other bands and ourselves, as well as fans of this music, to want more than whatever happens to be the current buzz… People need to realise that there’s not much of a difference between a metalcore song that has a couple of breakdowns with a repeating chorus and the latest Lady Gaga song.”

With a penchant for odd time signatures, full speed shred and constant breakdowns, the band has pushed the borders of metalcore in the past and now the posers – as well as their peers – are sure to be feeling a tad nervous as they observe just how high ABR are raising the bar with this release.

From what we’ve heard so far of Rescue & Restore, the album is a worthy addition to the bands well-received back catalogue. The disc will follow on from 2012’s Leveler, which, along with Constellations and Messengers, is still copping a right flogging on iPods the world over.

Now, crank the speakers and stream away, my friends, stream away.
