Suki Waterhouse Pulls Out of Laneway 2024, Cordae Added to the Lineup

British indie pop artist and keyboardist in Daisy Jones & the Six, Suki Waterhouse, has pulled out of the 2024 Laneway festival tour. In a statement, the festival said that “due to personal reasons, [Waterhouse] can’t make the trip to Australia and New Zealand in February.” In response, US hip hop artist Cordae has been added to the bill.

The 26-year-old rapper from North Carolina released his second album, From a Birds Eye View, in January 2022. The record was rammed full of guests, including Roddy Ricch, Gunna, Lil Durk, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, Freddie Gibbs, Nas, Eminem and Stevie Wonder. Cordae invited Anderson .Paak to join him on the follow-up single, ‘Two Tens’, which came out in January 2023.

The Laneway tour kicks off in Brisbane on Saturday, 3rd February. UK rapper Stormzy, US singer-songwriter Dominic Fike, and alt-R&B hitmaker Steve Lacy are the primary headliners. They’ll be joined on the tour by Hemlocke Springs, Paris Texas and Faye Webster, as well as Angie McMahon, Confidence Man, Teenage Dads, JK-47 and Miss Kaninna.

A bunch of Laneway acts have announced sideshows. The likes of Webster, Hemlocke Springs, AJ Tracey, Blondshell, d4vd and Paris Texas will play headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Lacy is setting up for two nights at the Sydney Opera House, while DOMi & JD Beck will warm up with a show in Brunswick Heads.
