Dad’s Chrissie present is officially sorted for this year thanks to the Red Hot Summer Tour dropping a lineup so fire it could power the next snag sizzle on his four-burner.
In fact, it’s the exact same lineup as this year, only slightly bigger!
International rawk kween Suzi Quatro heads up a bill of golden oldies, packed out by local pub rock legends The Angels, Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets, Moving Pictures and Chocolate Starfish, but this time around there’s also the addition of Noiseworks frontman Jon Stevens.
They’ll be moseying ’round the nation in February and March of next year for the second instalment of the mum and dad-friendly fest, hitting wineries, parks, showgrounds and racecourses across nine dates in South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland.
Promoter Duane McDonald says the decision to bring Suzi Quatro back down under for Series Two of the tour was a deadset no-brainer.
“Suzi is the Queen of Rock and audiences have always loved when she is part of the tour,” he says, pointing out that this year’s shows with Suzi were quick to sell out.
“We are thrilled to have her return to play these special venues. To have such a top icon on top of this incredible bill certainly makes this one of the hottest shows this summer.
“This really is the ultimate rock n roll line-up – we can’t wait to head out for these shows, they are going to go off!”
It comes after series one of the Red Hot Summer Tour was announced last month, featuring Jimmy Barnes, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The Living End and more.
