Tash Sultana is headlining the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre just outside of Denver, Colorado in June 2022. The Melbourne songwriter will be there just days before their 27th birthday, playing tracks from their latest album, Terra Firma.
Although tickets for the show only went on sale on Saturday, 13th November, Sultana has confirmed that all 10,000 have been sold. In fact, the show sold out within five minutes of tickets going on-sale to the general public—a truly monumental feat.
Sultana couldn’t hide their amazement, posting this message to social media: “So this entire 12’000 cap [sic] show sold out in 5 minutes. After being in a pandemic for two years I thought ya’ll had forgotten about me. THIS is what dreams are made of, THIS right here is my purpose. Thank you so much.”
Sultana released Terra Firma in February, 2021. It’s the Melbourne-born artist’s second LP, following their 2018 debut, Flow State. Terra Firma debuted at #1 in the ARIA Charts and the album is up for the Best Soul/R&B Release award at next week’s ARIAs.
Sultana hasn’t performed an overseas concert in more than two years, but they’ll be touring Europe and the UK in the lead up to Red Rocks. Details of an extensive Australian tour are yet to materialise. Last month, Sultana confirmed they’d finished recording their third album.
