The 1975 Touring Australia In January 2015

UK indie-rock quartet The 1975 may have only just left the country after their Splendour In The Grass appearance and sold-out sideshows, but they clearly can’t get enough of Australian stages. The 1975 will make their third trip to Australia in one year in January for three massive east coast shows, their biggest yet.

The band will be taking to the stage at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and their first headlining show in Brisbane at the Tivoli Theatre next January, as the hysteria continues to grow for the four-piece on Australian turf.

Fans world-wide have been enamoured by The 1975′s unique amorphous drifts between brooding rock, crisp electronica, dance floor R&B, and 80s gloss pop. Music Feeds reviewer Alex Langlands said frontman Matthew Healy‘s “magnetic onstage presence” stole the show at their Sydney gig earlier this year.

A January 2015 tour would see the guys in the country around the same time as Falls Festival and Southbound festivals. The official Falls lineup is due to drop this coming Monday morning, so stay tuned for all the details as they come in.
