The Audreys Announce New Album ‘Til My Tears Roll Away’

Acclaimed Adelaide duo The AudreysTaasha Coates and Tristan Goodall — have announced the release of their fourth studio album, Til My Tears Roll Away. The follow-up to 2010’s Sometimes The Stars, which scored the 2011 Best Blues and Roots ARIA, is set to drop on Friday, 14th March.

Til My Tears Roll Away sees Coates and Goodall return once again to producer Shane O’Mara, who has worked on each of the band’s previous ARIA Award-winning albums, including 2006’s Between Last Night And Us and 2008’s When The Flood Comes, which peaked at no. 20 on the ARIA chart.

“This track started as a sleazy guitar riff”, says Goodall of My Darlin’ Girl, the album’s first single, to be released digitally later this month. “It has a goofy prog-rock inspired key change that I’m happy to say is an Audrey first, and a general hard-rockin’, hard-drinkin’ vibe.”

The new album is a grittier record than the pair’s previous releases, with the bulk of the material recorded over a few days at Adelaide’s Mixmasters studio using aged equipment. Coates handled vocals and keys, while Goodall helmed guitars, with their regular band filling out the lineup.
