The Darkness Announce 2015 Australian Tour

Flamboyant purveyors of highfalutin hard rock The Darkness have got a one way ticket to Australia and back, with plans to grace us with their presence this November.

Moustache warrior Justin Hawkins has even shaved for the occasion. He and his band of British brothers (well only one of them is his actual brother, but you know) will perform a fistful of dates across five Australian cities, dishing out some love to Adelaide, Fremantle, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

They’re touting their newly minted fourth studio album Last Of Our Kind which was released in June. And for those who haven’t heard it yet, here’s the scoop:

Last of Our Kind is a collection of 10 magnificent songs that The Darkness are extremely proud of. It is the best rock album you will hear this year. It is the best rock album you will hear until next time The Darkness makes an album. I should know. I’m the singer. Justin Hawkins.”

There you have it.

The Darkness have toured Australia multiple times since releasing their masterwork debut Permission To Land in 2003, which is pretty much one of the greatest albums of all time, ever. However, their last scheduled tour in 2013 had to be cancelled due to troubled then-drummer Ed Graham’s health concerns.

Graham has since left the band “under mysterious circumstances” and was replaced by Emily Dolan Davies, who helped record the new LP before also leaving the band.

The Darkness will be joined on their Aussie tour by new recruit Rufus Taylor who just happens to be the freaking son of QUEEN DRUMMER ROGER TAYLOR.

And that’s quite awesome.
