The Familiars are making their own brand of guitar-driven rock. The Vanns are an electric package of old school blues meets indie. Put them together and you get one co-headlining tour that’s sure to go off, with both bands coming to a venue near you in early 2014.
The Familiars might be indie but this ain’t your little sister’s indie. The Byron Bay quartet have been making tunes for two years now, catching the attention of FBi and triple j, as well as touring the East Coast three times.
The Vanns have kicked off their early origins in a Kiama garage and blossomed into the kind of outfit that wins spots on the Homebake lineup, as well as scoring Breakthrough New Artist for Vivid’s Ideas Sessions. The co-headlining tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Ding Dong Lounge on the 23rd January, before making its way up and down the East Coast and wrapping it up on the Gold Coast on 8th February.
