The Metropolitan Orchestra Is Performing Music From ‘Raiders Of The Lost Ark’ This August

This week marks the 40th anniversary of the first Indiana Jones film, Raiders Of The Lost Ark. To celebrate the milestone of the iconic moment in cultural history, punters in Sydney and Melbourne will get the chance to see an orchestra perform music from the film in concert.

‘Raiders Of The Lost Ark In Concert’ will feature John Williams’ legendary score performed by The Metropolitan Orchestra in Sydney and in Melbourne for one night each, conducted by Sarah-Grace Williams.

The announcement of ‘Raiders Of The Lost Ark In Concert’ comes shortly after a similar event, highlighting the music behind Jurassic Park, took place in Sydney last month. Of course, that film was also scored by John Williams.

‘Raiders Of The Lost Ark In Concert’ will take place at Plenary Theatre at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 14th August. The show at Sydney’s Aware Super Theatre at the ICC will be taking place the following weekend, on Saturday, 21st August.

Tickets for the Sydney show are on sale now, while tickets for the Melbourne show will go on sale at 11am local time on Wednesday, 16th June. You can grab tickets for both via TEG Dainty.

For now, though…
