Shit, friends, just got real.
Thy Art will replace Suicide Silence as main support on Parkway’s nine-date Ire album tour, alongside American metalcore behemoths Memphis May Fire and The Word Alive.
The trek is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, 23rd September at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium and will travel to Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle.
Parkway Drive have said that Ire, the follow-up to their acclaimed 2012 album Atlas, represents a creative leap for the band.
“This is the album for us. Every single step of the way, whenever there was gamble to take, we took the biggest one we could,” explains singer Winston McCall. “If this isn’t the album that can go further than anything we thought was possible with this band and this type of music, that’s fine, but we can’t go back from this as far as we’re concerned.”
Thy Art, meanwhile, have just released an album of their own. They were already scheduled to tour Australia across October in support of their new slab of metal, Holy War, alongside Aversions Crown, Feed Her To The Sharks & Colossvs.
They will still be headlining those previously scheduled dates, after the tour with Parkway wraps up.
Parkway Drive’s new album Ire will be released on Friday, 25th September.
