Tkay Maidza Announces New EP ‘Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3’

Tkay Maidza enjoyed huge success in 2020, and now she’s giving fans even more good news with the announcement of her new EP Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3.

Alongside the EP’s announcement, she’s also revealed the latest single from it, entitled ‘Cashmere’. ‘Cashmere’ is the third song we’ve heard from the EP so far, following ‘Syrup’ and ‘Kim’ with Yung Baby Tate.

She’s also unveiled the stunning music video for ‘Cashmere’, and it perfectly matches the satin R&B luxe of the track. It’s drenched in springtime joy, as Maidza flourishes among millions of blooming flowers, before they go up in a blaze around her. Those with hayfever and allergies: be warned.

Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3 is set for release on Friday, 9th July. It follows on from 2019’s Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 1 and 2020’s Vol. 2.

This EP will be the conclusion of Maidza’s LYWW trilogy, and is shaping up to be a fitting end to an arc that’s skyrocketed Maidza to global alt hip-hop stardom.
