Tool Currenty Working On New Album

It’s been a few months since we’ve had any updates on the upcoming record from Tool and an age since the band actually released an LP, with their last effort 10,000 Days coming out way back in 2006. In March Music Feeds reported that Tool Drummer Danny Carey said that the band will start recording their 5th studio record in June or July.

Now thanks to Loudwire we finally have a fresh update, again coming from Carey. When speaking with Children of Saturn radio show last week, Carey assured that work on the long-awaited new album has begun.

“The Tool thing is happening,” Carey revealed. “Me, Adam and Justin are banging away, trying to get enough [material] to get Maynard in there, but there is no wine before it’s time.”

In a previous interview with Loudwire, Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan spoke about the process the four-piece goes through in creating music.

“I’m allowing [my bandmates] their space to do what they do, so we’re still in that mode. They write forever and then we go in and knock it out,” Keenan explained.

There’s no current word on when recording will be complete or when fans can expect the yet-to-be-titled album.
