UB40 To Headline HiFi Days, A Brand New All Ages Festival In The Shire

Australia’s boutique festival market is booming. Over the past few days, new summer festivals have been popping up like bindi-eyes, from the pooch-friendly Dogapalooza, to the Novocastrian This That, to actual jailhouse event The Lock-Up and now, there’s yet another addition to the list: Sydney’s newest outdoor festival, HiFi Days.

UK reggae outfit UB40 have already been named to headline the inaugural event, which will take place in Cronulla’s Gunnamatta Park this November. Also rounding out the festival’s debut lineup announcement are The Bamboos, Grinspoon frontman Phil Jameson, The Snowdroppers, Caravana Sun and Fripps & Fripps.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Port Hacking River, HiFi Days is a one-day outdoor, summer festival for all ages, promising “incredible live music, fantastic food and unique experiences for family and friends”.

UB40, whom you’ve most definitely heard of before because they sing that super catchy song Red, Red Wine (below), will headline the festival in addition to their previously announced Australian tour dates.

HiFi Days will take place on Sunday, November 22nd. Tickets go on sale from next Wednesday, 29th July. Check out full lineup and ticketing details below.
