Ultra Music Festival’s Japan Lineup Is Here To Get Aussies Frothing

Ultra Music Festival Japan has released a massive lineup, showcasing the calibre of artists that Australia could be in for when the festival arrives down under next year.

The Japanese leg of the global festival has announced its first phase of artists, headed up by none other than Empire Of The Sun, Porter Robinson and Pendulum.

Kygo, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and Alesso are also on the bill, which is basically a who’s who of electronic music right now. Peep the full lineup, below.

Now, we don’t like to speculate too much, but artists have a tendency to visit Australia around the time of their Asian tours because they’re already part of the way here.

For example, this year’s Fuji Rock Festival in Japan features Queens Of The Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem, The xx, Father John Misty and more acts who are tripping here afterwards for Splendour In The Grass.

If you’re not confident that these Ultra artists will make it to Australia, then you can always book a ticket to Japan. Or you can cross your fingers that the lineup for Ultra Music Australia 2018 is as good as Japan’s.

Ultra Japan 2017 will take place between 16th and 18th September.
