Organisers of the heavy as hell 2016 UNIFY Gathering have unveiled the event’s official timetable, letting punters know about set times long before the festival kicks off in January.
UNIFY Gathering’s 2016 timetable (below) covers both the Matinee and Marathon days of the festival, with the shortest sets scheduled to run for 20 minutes and the longest — that’s Parkway Drive’s headline set — scheduled to last a reasonably solid 50 minutes.
Adding a touch of mystery, UNIFY Gathering’s 2016 set times show two empty time slots on the Marathon day — one at the beginning of the day and another which lasts for half an hour after Parkway Drive’s slot.
UNIFY Gathering’s 20-strong bill for 2016 features some of Australia’s most beloved producers of heavy music, as well as international acts Neck Deep, State Champs, and Stray From The Path.

UPDATE 30/09/15 5:50pm: According to a Reddit Ask Me Anything session hosted by UNIFY Gathering today, the mystery slot after Parkway Drive’s set will feature “the dudes from Hellions and some other bands doing a cover band” with “lots of guest vocals from others on the lineup”. The empty slot at the beginning of the Marathon day looks set to host the winner of a triple j Unearthed competition.
UPDATE 13/10/15: Melbourne metalcore outfit Confession have joined the UNIFY Gathering 2016 lineup, and are set to play their second last show ever as part of the festival, before breaking up.
