UNIFY Gathering Issues Update On Bushfire Threat

At this point, it doesn’t look like the devastating bushfires ravaging parts of Victoria’s East Gippsland region will affect next weekend’s UNIFY Gathering festival.

Organisers of the regional mosh have taken to social media to hose down fears of a potential cancellation, in the wake of the Lorne leg of Falls Festival getting axed mid-coitus due to an extreme weather warning, and other events including the NSW Central Coast’s Lost Paradise festival also getting called off.

UNIFIED Music Group’s Dan Nascimento took to the UNFD Social Club Facebook group to address fan concerns, explaining that they’re monitoring the situation closely.

“The festival team is working very closely with council, agencies and emergency services daily to ensure the delivery of the safest possible event,” Nascimento said.

“Any updates will be conveyed to everyone, but as of right now and looking ahead, the festival site and surrounding areas are not impacted by the fires and adverse weather conditions seen elsewhere in Victoria.”
