Sometime between galavanting around the US supporting Taylor Swift on her massive 1989 World Tour, Aussie muso Vance Joy somehow managed to record new music and even make a video for his latest single Fire And The Flood.
The new song showcases Vance Joy’s emotion-filled vocals with passionate acoustic guitar, punctuated with some horns and drums. Fire and the Flood, which can be streamed below, will be featured on an expanded, deluxe edition of Joy’s debut album Dream Your Life Away.
The accompanying video, is equally epic and features Joy staring down the barrel of the camera while some dramatic scenes unfold in the background.
The track follows up his latest track, Great Summer, which features on the soundtrack of the novel-turned-film, Paper Towns.
Vance Joy will return home soon, continuing his support of Taylor Swift for the the Australian leg of The 1989 World Tour this November and December. First though, he’s up for an MTV award in the Artist To Watch category for his breakout hit Riptide.
