Victoria Border Closure Sees Human Nature Cancel Sidney Myer Music Bowl Show

Victoria’s Acting Premier Jacinta Allen announced yesterday that the state would be shutting its border to New South Wales, with concerns over Sydney’s coronavirus outbreak.

The border will close today, Friday 1st January at 11:59pm. It means border closures have once again rearranged artists’ touring plans.

Human Nature are the first affected of the Live at the Bowl series. They’ve had to cancel their Sidney Myer Music Bowl show which was scheduled for Saturday, 9th January.

In a statement, Arts Centre Melbourne said the show, “will be cancelled due to restrictions between Sydney NSW and Victoria due to the current COVID-19 outbreaks impacting travel.”

“The group have only just reunited with band member Toby Allen who complied with QLD Health regulations and isolated for 14 days in Brisbane after only clearing Perth quarantine two weeks earlier and tested negative.”

They also specify that full refunds will be distributed, with patrons not needing to take action.

So far, Human Nature is the only cancellation in the Live at the Bowl series.
