Currently down under for Splendour In Th Grass 2015, British indie four-piece Everything Everything have stopped off at the triple j studios this morning to perform a stripped-back cover of Robyn‘s 2007 dance hit With Every Heartbeat, as part of the Like A Version covers segment.
Everything Everything’s take on the Robyn classic saw vocalist Jonathan Higgs and guitarist Alex Robertshaw replace the electronics of the original track with some delicate guitar work. For a second it looked like the song might be sung in an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent, but that didn’t happen, unfortunately.
While in the studio, the pair also performed an acoustic version their original track Distant Past, which appears on their latest studio album, Get To Heaven. Catch both performances, below.
Everything Everything perform on Splendour In The Grass’ Mix Up Stage tonight, and have one more Splendour sideshow lined up in Melbourne.
