Flume has taken to the triple j studios to deliver his first ever Like A Version, knocking things out of the park with a cover of My Boo by Ghost Town DJ’s — a track which was recently popularised by the ‘Running Man Challenge’.
You know, this thing:
Teaming up with Skin album collaborator Kai, Flume kicked things off with a delicate new version of his original track Never Be Like You, before moving onto a cover of My Boo with collaborators Vince Staples and Kučka, while local singer-songwriters Vera Blue and Ngaiire took up backing vocals. Catch both performances, below.
The Like A Version performances cap off a huge 10 days for Flume, after he took home eight ARIA Awards last week for his latest album, Skin. He’s also currently on a huge national tour with Staples and enigmatic producer SOPHIE.
On top of that, he’s also announced that he’s opening a pop-up exhibition in Sydney next week, displaying new videos by Jonathan Zawada, the artist who designed the Skin album cover.
