Watch Harry Styles Perform ‘Watermelon Sugar’ With Blood Orange At The 2021 Grammys

Harry Styles kicked off the 2021 Grammys with a performance of his Fine Line hit ‘Watermelon Sugar’, adorned in a leather jacket and a truly fantastic feather boa.

He was joined on bass by none other than Devonté Hynes – aka Blood Orange – as part of the singer’s backing band, which also included backing vocalists, a saxophonist, a trumpet player and more. Hynes ripped through a killer solo during the performance, and also served as musical director. Watch the performance below.

Styles is a first-time Grammy nominee this year, with Fine Line up for Best Pop Vocal Album and ‘Watermelon Sugar’ nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance. The singer’s music video for ‘Adore You’ was also nominated for Best Music Video but lost out to Beyoncé, who won with ‘Brown Skin Girl’ clip.

Hynes also received a nomination for this year’s awards for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance with Fields. The award went to Pacifica Quartet for Contemporary Voices.
