Watch: How To Destroy Angels New Video ‘Ice Age’

How to Destroy Angels have released a new video for their single Ice Age. Lifted from the group’s recently released EP An Omen, Ice Age is a subdued, subtle, stripped-back affair where the musical backing is minimal and the emphasis is placed on the vocal performance of Trent Reznor’s wife, Mariqueen Maanding.

As reported by Diffuser, the music video was directed by Australian filmmaker John Hillcoat. Hillcoat has previously worked with the likes of Depeche Mode and Nick Cave.

It’s been a banner year for Reznor, who has left his musical stamp on 2012, and all without the help of Nine Inch Nails. Along with the release of How to Destroy Angels’ An Omen, Reznor recorded and released the theme song for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, featured in Dave Grohl’s upcoming doco on Sound City Studio and worked with Josh Homme on a new Queens of the Stone Age track.

Of course that’s not to say NIN fans shouldn’t expect new material from the 90’s act. Reznor recently confirmed that “all signs point to yes” in regards to new music from Nine Inch Nails.
