Lawdyhake has just finished up her set at on the Supertop Stage at Splendour in the Grass. Today also marks the new video from Ladyhawke for her latest single Blue Eyes, lifted from this year’s LP Anxiety. The clip sees Ladyhawke, real name Phillipa ‘Pip’ Brown, consuming some unknown beverage that sends her into one colourful cat head filled psychedelic trip. Fortunately, a desert hippie holy man comes to Pip’s aid and helps her regain her bearings enough to rock out in the sand dunes.
When speaking with Rolling Stone, Ladyhawke said of the ‘na na’ filled chrous, “Sometimes trying to show someone the error in their ways is a futile effort”. Ladyhawke told Rolling Stone, “In my experience it’s best to just sing them a ‘na na na’ chorus, ha ha.”
