Metallica and Lady Gaga (Metalligaga?) have performed together at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles today, tearing through a rendition of Metallica’s recent single ‘Moth Into Flame’.
Wearing a Metallica-branded shirt, Gaga fronted the band for the performance, which took place in front of dancers and a literal wall of fire. Gaga crowd-surfed at one point, before returning to the stage to close out the performance.
At one stage in the song, Metallica frontman James Hetfield’s microphone failed to work, and he could be seen looking to the side of stage as Gaga carried on performing.
Gaga recently revealed that her Grammys collab with Metallica came about when she was chilling at Bradley Cooper’s house with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, as you do.
