Watch Lady Gaga Perform with The Rolling Stones at Album Launch Party

Lady Gaga joined The Rolling Stones on stage in New York City to celebrate the release of their new album Hackney Diamonds. The pop singer joined the band to rip through their recent collab ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’ – unfortunately, the other artist featured on that track, Stevie Wonder, did not appear.

The crowd at the launch party, which was a surprise show at Racket NYC, was similarly star-studded, with Pitchfork noting that Jimmy Fallon, Elvis Costello, Trevor Noah, Keegan-Michael Key, Daniel Craig, Chris Rock, and Rachel Weisz were all in attendance. Watch the Lady Gaga performance below.

Hackney Diamonds, released on Friday, 20th October, is the band’s first new album of original material since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. Producer Andrew Watt was behind the boards for the record, which was written and recorded in the Bahamas, London, and Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga was an accidental addition to the record, the band recently revealed, after wandering in to the band’s studio session just to say hello. “[She] was sitting there on the floor just digging it and singing along” guitarist Ron Wood recalled in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“She just walked in, in front of me, and she just curled up in a ball in front of me on the floor,” Jagger said. “And then someone gave her a mic, and she started singing oohs and ahs.”
