Watch: Run DMC Perform For The First Time In 13 Years At Made In America Festival

There’s nothing that makes a slow Monday morning worse than having to read about some paradise of a festival currently taking place in the US as you read this.

But to soothe the pain, at least we have a video of the current chaos that is about to wrap up at Jay-Z‘s inaugural Made In America festival. We’ve heard tales of Kanye West jumping on stage with Jay-Z with his G.O.O.D crew in tow, The Prez himself making a cheeky video appearance, and also this: the first live performance from hip hop icons Run DMC.

According to The Consequence of Sound, who have been all over the festival like white on rice, the gang performed Rock Box, It’s Tricky, and Walk This Way, and paid homage to their fallen bro DJ Jam Master Jay with a DJ set featuring his own sons.

The festival, curated by Jay himself, is doing huge things. We’re getting news that Pearl Jam performed with Jay on stage; that’s some next level kind of shit.

Now that they’ve kicked it into gear, Run DMC won’t be slowing down. Next they will be bringing the madness to Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin through November.
