Watch The Smith Street Band Have A Go At An Aggressive Security Guard

The Smith Street Band don’t put up with shit from anyone, be they concert-goer or security guard. Footage has emerged of frontman Wil Wagner making this point even more well known by calling out an aggressive security guard at the band’s recent sold-out show at Sydney’s Metro Theatre.

In the footage (below, via Pedestrian) Wagner can be seen stopping the show in the middle of Young Drunk, when he spots a security guard not being all that nice to a crowd-surfer.

“Woah, what the fuck are you doing to our friend over there? Let him go,” Wagner says. “What are you doing? Let him go, don’t take him into a corner and punch him. Let him go and have a good night. Thank you.”

Ironically, the incident occurred soon after Wagner had praised the work of the security guards at the gig, according to Pedestrian.

The Smith Street Band are currently making their way around the country on their huge Get High, See Everyone tour. If you’re catching them at a venue near you, make sure to tell Wagner if security isn’t playing nice.
