Watch Tyne-James Organ Cover The Kooks’ Iconic ‘Naive’ For Triple J Like A Version

Woollongong artist Tyne-James Organ has taken on The Kooks for this week’s Like A Version. The triple j segment has been on a roll of iconic covers and this week is no different, with Tyne-James covering ‘Naive’.

Covering the 2006 classic, he stays pretty true to the original and it’s a real treat. There’s also a neato little groove from the singer that certainly brings the vibes.

Chatting about the divisiveness of the segment in his Behind the Like A Version interview, he said, “I’ve watched so many that do go super different and some that stay quite true to it. And I love them both.”

“That’s just my view. If they do it justice in any regard, then good on them.”

“I chose to cover ‘Naive’ because of my sister,” reveals Organ. “It’s one of her favourite songs of all time. She introduced me to The Kooks when I was like 12 and all in all, I forgot to buy my sister a birthday present so this is it.”

Tyne-James Organ also shared a performance of his original ‘Heal You’. It’s a goosebump-inducing beauty of a performance.
