Watch: Van She, Cut Copy Plus More Featured In Tourism Australia’s Re-Vamped Great Southern Land

In celebration of the 30th anniversary since Icehouse’s Great Southern Land hit the airwaves, Tourism Australia has invited a small crowd of buzzworthy Australian artists to breathe new life into the unofficial anthem.

They really hit the nail on the head with their selection of current talent. Various Australian artists appear throughout the clip, including Van She, Cut Copy, and Katie Noonan, and what looks like the kids from that one show I never watched, The Choir. Also appearing are Muscles, strolling through what looks like the laneways of Melbourne, and Jonathan Boulet, chilling on some rocks.

As you’d expect, the video is chock-a-block with footage from wind-swept beaches, pristine oasis’, bustling and vibrant cities, and all the other stuff that makes Australia the best place ever.

The revamped Aussie classic was debuted last night during a showcase at Sydney’s MCA gallery.
