Ohio rockers The National have been joined on stage by CHVRCHES frontwoman Lauren Mayberry during a performance at England’s Latitude Festival, and footage of the muso singing with the group has now hit the interwebs.
The National were joined by Mayberry during their Latitude headline set on Saturday night, 16th July, with Mayberry sharing vocals with the band’s Matt Berninger on the song I Need My Girl, from the group’s 2013 album Trouble Will Find Me. Following the gorgeous duet, Berninger can be heard telling the crowd, “That was fucking awesome.”
During their Saturday night Latitude set, The National also performed the new song The Lights, which they first debuted back in June. The song might end up on the band’s next studio album, just like the track Roman Candle, which was debuted late last year.
