Tim Armstrong‘s punk-rap supergroup Transplants have dropped their first single from their upcoming album of the same name, In A Warzone, via stream and also as a free download. The San Diego outfit, made up of Armstong as well as Blink 182‘s Travis Barker and rapper Skinhead Rob, reunited in 2010 after a 4-year hiatus.
Rancid‘s 2009 album Let the Dominoes Fall will now have an older brother. The band have taken to the interwebs to announce via photographic evidence that they have begun work on a brand-new album. News has come in dribs and drabs since October 2012 on the new album but no firm details are really known.
It would appear that Blink 182’s current status has inspired Travis Barker to rekindle other musical flames. Transplants is his hip hop/punk/rock side project formed with Rancid member Tim Armstrong.
