Laneway Festival has today indicated that Scottish sweethearts CHVRCHES will be featured on the line up for Laneway Festival 2014. Without going so far as to lock a festival appearance in, the language Laneway is using gives us reason to believe the hint is solid enough to get excited about.
The band announced their debut run of Australian dates not too long ago, with the brief – and now sold-out – tour due to commence very soon. Laneway have now announced on Twitter (below) that those who missed out on tickets need not worry, as the band will be “back soon *hint hint*”.
Earlier in the year, London post punkers Savages accidentally let slip that they’d be in Australia for a festival next February, which almost undoubtedly means an appearance at Laneway.
Both Savages and CHVRCHES are on the bill for Laneway Festival’s first international event, set to go down in Detroit on 18th September this year.
CHVRCHES debut album The Bones Of What You Believe will be released in Australia on Friday, 20th September. Fingers crossed this ends up happening as the bands calendar is sure to be booked up real quick.
Psyched for @CHVRCHES' sold out Australian shows this week! Don't worry if you missed out on tickets, they'll be back soon *hint hint
