Field Day 2014 Lineup First Acts Announced

Written by Greg Moskovitch on October 8, 2013

The organisers of Sydney’s Field Day festival have seemingly confirmed the first acts on their 2014 lineup after fans uncovered London Grammar and Julio Bashmore as two of the acts hidden as clues in a promo video released by promoters last week.

UPDATE: FULL FIELD DAY 2014 LINEUP IS HERE!

With the full lineup set to drop tomorrow around 2pm, the organisers took to Facebook to confirm acts and hand out free VIP tickets to astute fans who managed to catch the trailer clues. The first pair of VIP tickets went to a fan who recognised UK band London Grammar hidden in a poster.

The second pair then went to a fan who noticed a poster promoting UK house producer/DJ Julio Bashmore, hidden in the bedroom of the video’s protagonist. Music Feeds previously speculated on the two acts’ place on the lineup, along with Alison Wonderland, Zola Jesus and more.

The video, which readers can check out below, is set to Flume‘s remix of the Hermitude track Hyperparadise, feeding speculation on either making an appearance at The Domain in Sydney on Wednesday, 1st January.

Other clues meanwhile may point towards TNGHT, Toy, and The Mountain Goats. The full lineup will be here tomorrow Wednesday, 9th October.
