Grinspoon Stick It To Margaret Court With New Merch For Their Show At Her Arena

Grinspoon have issued a subtle ‘f*ck you’ to controversial tennis icon Margaret Court ahead of their show tonight at the arena which bears her name.

ICYMI: The Aussie grand slam champ recently made some homophobic remarks, vowing to boycott Qantas airlines over their support of same-sex marriage.

Since then, musos like Ryan Adams and Sigur Rós have condemned the sporting veteran’s views and used their shows at her eponymous venue to rally support for marriage equality.

And now, it’s Grinspoon’s turn.

Phil Jamieson and co. have unveiled a new line of merchandise in honour of their show at Margaret Court Arena on the 20th anniversary tour of their debut album and yep, the Spoon’s 2017 ~Guide To Better Living~ officially includes allowing gay people to get hitched.

Cop a squiz:

In a statement to Music Feeds, Grinspoon say, “We here at GSPN HQ believe marriage should be for all… so at tonight’s sold out gig we are selling some special t-shirts with all proceeds going to Australian Marriage Equality.”

Just ~Ace~.
